PDF Template Generator
Pick a template, fill in a short form, and watch a formatted PDF build live next to it — no design work, no account.
A quick way to produce a clean document
Not every document needs a design tool or a Word template you have to hunt down and reformat. This generator covers a handful of common documents — an invoice, a resume, a cover letter — with a form on one side and a live, rendered preview of the actual PDF on the other. Fill in the fields, and the layout, spacing, and typography are handled for you, with the preview updating as you type so you know exactly what you're about to download.
It's rule-based rather than AI-based: the tool doesn't invent or rewrite your wording, it only places what you type into a fixed template. That makes the output predictable, and it means the whole thing runs instantly in your browser using pdf-lib, with nothing uploaded to a server. The invoice template goes a step further than a plain layout — add a logo, a flat discount, and a tax percentage, and it works out the subtotal, discount, tax, and grand total for you. Line items and resume entries can be reordered or duplicated with a click instead of retyping them, and an in-progress form is autosaved locally so an accidental tab close doesn't mean starting over.
Common use cases
- Sending a one-off invoice with your logo and tax worked out, without opening accounting software
- Putting together a resume quickly, reordering roles without retyping anything
- Drafting a cover letter with consistent formatting for a job application
- Quoting a client a discounted rate and seeing the final total before you send it
- Getting a presentable starting PDF that you can refine further in another tool

PDF Template Generator — frequently asked questions
No. This tool fills a fixed, rule-based layout with the text you type in — it doesn't write or rephrase anything for you. What you enter is exactly what appears on the PDF, and you can watch it update in the live preview as you type.
Three to start: an invoice with line items, discount, tax, and an optional logo; a resume with reorderable experience and education sections; and a cover letter. More templates may be added over time.
Yes. Upload a PNG or JPEG logo and it's placed in the header automatically. You can also set a flat discount and a tax percentage — the subtotal, discount, tax, and final total are all calculated for you and shown as a proper breakdown on the PDF.
Probably not. The form autosaves a draft to your browser's local storage every couple of seconds while you're filling it in. Come back and pick the same template again, and you'll be offered the chance to restore where you left off. Logos aren't included in the autosave, so you'll need to re-upload one if you had added it.
The download is a regular PDF, so you can reopen it in any PDF editor (including other tools on this site, like Edit PDF Text) to tweak it further. To change the content quickly, it's usually faster to adjust the form here and regenerate — the live preview means you can see the result before you download.
No. The form data, and any logo you upload, stay in your browser tab and are used only to build the PDF locally with pdf-lib. Nothing is sent to a server, and nothing is saved anywhere outside your own browser's local storage.
Not yet — each template uses one clean, fixed design so the output stays consistent and readable. If you need a fully custom visual design, this tool is better suited as a fast, presentable starting point than a final polished document.
